One day there was this kid named Xayden. Xayden went to the park one day and wanted to shoot some basketball. There was one issue though, he wasn’t very good at basketball. In fact Xayden wasn’t good at all. Some other guys saw him missing and started laughing at him. They made fun of him and started calling him names. When they left, a kid named Blaise went over to Xayden and asked him if he wanted help to get better at basketball. Xayden was lit up with joy and immediately said yes! Xayden did some drills with Blaise and started making his shots. After working with Blaise almost every shot seemed to go Xaydens way. The next day, the same guys that were making fun of Xayden came back to the park. Xayden wanted to show them how good he was, so he asked them if they wanted to play a game. Xayden was obliterating them , doing behind the back, in between the legs, shooting threes, layups, and making all of them! Xayden and Blaise ended up winning and one of the guys even ran away. The other guy couldn’t except defeat and said “ Well…well… I’m still better than you!”. Xayden became a great basketball player.

There was a frog named Sammy. Sammy was a happy frog, he loved to splash in his little pond and swim around. His friend, Flipp the Duck, was his best friend. They lived together in their little pond. Sammy hopped around and Flipp paddled through the water. They played hard all day splashing around and then slept on the sandy bank. One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.

Maplewood was a happy town. But one day, news came that a sneaky weasel gang was hiding near the edge of the town. The animals were worried and wondered what they should do. Big Bucks Bear, who ran Maplewood Supply Company, had a plan. “We need strong walls and traps to keep the weasels out,” he said. Big Bucks told the animals that, just like during the Cold Forest Standoff years ago, they had to stay prepared and strong. But Penny the Raccoon had another idea. “What if we try to befriend the weasels or help them find a place to live?” she asked. She reminded everyone that spending too much on defense—like when the animals once sent nuts and supplies to faraway lands—could leave them without enough for themselves. Big Bucks was persuasive. He convinced Maplewood to use almost all of their savings to build walls, just like in the Squirrel-Bird Dispute over Nut Valley, when they built forts and traps. Soon, Maplewood was pouring all its resources into Big Bucks’ projects. Penny noticed that things around town were falling apart. With so much money going to walls and gadgets, there was hardly anything left to fix schools, parks, or even make enough food! “What if we’re using up our savings on things that don’t help us every day?” she thought. Penny gathered everyone and shared her plan. “Instead of building walls, let’s work together and share what we have. The world needs peace, just like we learned in the Forest Unity Days!” She reminded them that when the animals had shared their food and tools, they had more than enough. As the animals talked and listened, they realized that the weasels weren’t all bad. They just needed help, too. Penny and her friends invited the weasels to work and play together in Maplewood, and soon they were all sharing the forest’s food and shelter. He used his skills to help rebuild schools, parks, and homes, seeing that Maplewood was stronger when everyone worked together.

The Magical Morning Music Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, a young child named Riley was fast asleep, snuggled under a warm, fluffy blanket. But soon, the sun peeked through the curtains, and the morning began! (Use a triangle or chime to make a gentle "ding-ding" sound for the sunrise.) Suddenly, the alarm clock rang! "Beep! Beep! Beep!" Riley stretched and yawned, rubbing their sleepy eyes. (Use a tambourine or small drum to mimic the alarm clock sound.) Riley jumped out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom. Pitter-patter, pitter-patter! (Use fingertips on a drum to create soft tiptoeing sounds.) In the bathroom, Riley turned on the faucet—Whoosh!—and brushed their teeth—Scrub, scrub, scrub! (Use a rainstick for running water and a guiro for brushing sounds.) Next, Riley got dressed, pulling on their shirt, pants, and shoes. Zip! Snap! Stomp! (Use a ratchet or sand blocks for the zip, a castanet for the snap, and a drum for the stomp.) Downstairs, breakfast was ready. The spoon clinked against the bowl as Riley ate their cereal. Clink! Clink! Munch! Munch! (Use a wood block or metal spoon on a small bowl.) After finishing breakfast, Riley grabbed their backpack and ran out the door. The birds chirped in the trees—Tweet! Tweet!—and a gentle breeze blew past—Whooosh! (Use a small whistle for birds and a shaker for the wind.) At the bus stop, the school bus arrived with a loud "Vroom! Honk!" Riley hopped on and found a seat as the bus rumbled down the road. (Use a drum roll for the bus engine and a horn for the honk.) Finally, Riley reached school and walked into the classroom, ready to learn. The school bell rang—"Ding-dong!"—and everyone settled in for a wonderful day ahead.
