In a lush green forest, there lived a happy frog named Daddy and a curious salamander named Zander. They were the best of friends.

Sara couldn't see the vibrant colors of the vegetables, or the bright flames on the stove. She was blind. Still, Sara's kitchen was her favorite place in the world. She loved the smell of spices, the feel of flour between her fingers, and the warmth of the oven. Sara's friends, Emi and Bunny, were always there to help. "A little more salt, Sara," Emi would say, guiding her hand. "Careful, the pan is hot!" Bunny would warn. They were Sara's eyes in the kitchen.

Addie has just turned three and she has the power to talk to animals. A bumble bee takes her into the woods where she meets a one eyed poodle who is missing his strudel. She sets off to find the missing strudel. Along the way she meets animals. A is for Adeline Mae. Adeline Mae didn’t want to go to bed. She said so... but mom said, “No. You must go.” B is for bee. While in bed, she heard a noise by the window. She lifted up her head, and looked out. What did she see? A big ole bee! He motioned with his wing. “Hey follow me. I have something you must see.” Adeline Mae jumped out of bed and ran as fast as she could, but the bee was too fast and flew far, far ahead. “Slow down.” She said. The bee turned around and flew to her side. “We don’t have time for this slack. Jump on my back.” The bee buzzed. So why could she hear this big ole bee? Well, it was because today Addie Mae turned three, and only special little girls can talk to animals as soon as they turn three. C is for cottage. So Adeline Mae jumps on his back and they fly down the hill and into the woods, and he took her to where a little secret cottage stood. D is for dog. The cottage was covered with thousands of beautiful flowers. Hidden behind the flowers was a small gold door. They open the door and are greeted with a loud bark. Inside the secret cottage is a white fluffy poodle. “Did you bring me my strudel?” The poodle is Sir Henry, the famous one eyed dog. E is for Eagle. “I’m so sorry.” Buzzes the bee, but the Eagle took your Strudel.” He says to the poodle. “The Eagle took my strudel!” The poodle barks wildly. The bee waves his wings in the air to silence the poodle. “But don’t stress your noodle. You grouchy one eyed poodle. Because I have a plan. I brought you this girl.” “Step forward girl. What makes her so special?”

Page 2 “Today, we’re going to Old Walled Village!” Yao Yao said excitedly. She heard there were ancient walls and mysterious defenses waiting for them to discover. Page 3 The four arrived at Old Walled Village and saw the tall walls and narrow gate. Jun Jie observed closely, saying, “The design here is so interesting; it must have been great for keeping pirates away!” Page 4 Xiao Ling exclaimed, “Look at the steps in front of the gate! This design makes it hard for enemies to attack!” Everyone nodded, impressed by the wisdom of the ancients. Page 5 Next, they visited the Tin Hau Temple. Wen Yu pointed at the statue and said, “This is Tin Hau, who protects us. She has the Eye and Ear of Heaven beside her!” Page 6 In the temple, Yao Yao discovered two ancient bronze bells and thought, “These bells must have been rung by villagers praying for safety.” They all felt the sacred atmosphere of the temple. Page 7 Finally, they arrived at the Song Ling Tang Temple. Wen Yu said, “This is built to honor our ancestor, Deng Song Ling. What a place full of stories!” They quietly felt the weight of history. Page 8 On their way home, the four friends shared their discoveries and felt a deep respect for Lung Yue Tau. They promised to return next time and explore more secrets!

More than 1.3 million Vietnamese soldiers and about 58,000 U.S. troops were killed. 3. Yuēhàn also read In 1954, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka that racial segregation of children in public schools was unconstitutional. This case was a cornerstone of the Civil Rights Movement. The main aim of the civil rights movement was to give everybody equal rights regardless of color skin color, gender, nationality, religion, disability or age. The aim of the movement which peaked in the 1960's was to ensure that the rights of all people are equally and are protected by the law.
