Isaac with his blond hair and Zoe with her blonde hair pink hair band sat in their bright blue and red paddle boat, drifting across a shimmering lake at sunset. As they paddled towards in the blue and Red boat a stone bridge, something magical happened. When they emerged on the other side, they found themselves on the lush, enchanted Monkey’s Island surrounded by colourful plants, a sparkling stream, Talking Parrots flew overhead with bright coloured feathers and playful animals. They soon met Freddie a friendly dinosaur with soft green scales. "Hi, Freddie!" Zoe called. "This island is beautiful! Do you not have friends to play with?" Freddie the dinosaur smiled. "I live here peacefully now, but I used to be loud and scary. When I roared, animals ran away." He demonstrated, shaking the ground and sending Isaac and Zoe flying backward. "Freddie the Dinosaur said See? I prefer calm now and enjoy the peacefulness," he explained. "Sometimes, the island needs me to take care of it." Isaac's eyes sparkled. "Can we meet your friends? We’d love to explore!" "Freddie the Dinosaur said Of course! Follow me," Freddie said, smiling wider as he led them deeper into the heart of the island for new adventures.

Zoe a young girl with very curly hair goes on a journey of self acceptance

The children want to start collecting plastic bottle tops to recycle with Lids4Kids. They meet a nice volunteer who will drive their lids to Canberra for them. Then they send a letter home to their families and ask them to collect plastic bottle tops from milk bottles, pop bottles and water bottles. The children enjoy washing the lids in warm soapy water with their family (and pet dog). Next week all the children bring in a bag of lids each. Together they group the lids into colour groups. The nice volunteer pick them up and takes them to Lids4Kids in Canberra. The lids are then turned into a rainbow colored park bench. The teacher surprises the children by buying the rainbow park bench for their playground.

It all started one rainy evening when my husband and I were driving home from work. We heard a faint meowing coming from under the bonnet of our car. We immediately pulled over and opened the bonnet, only to find a tiny kitten huddled up and shivering. Without hesitation, we scooped him up and brought him home with us. We named him Almond because he is as sweet as a nut. From that moment on, he became a part of our family. We showered him with love and care, making sure he was well-fed and had a warm place to sleep. Almond quickly adapted to his new home and became the center of our world. He would greet us at the door every day, purring and rubbing against our legs. He would follow us around the house, always wanting to be near us. And when we would sit down to relax, he would curl up on our laps, his soft purrs filling the room.

Lily loved to play. She loved to jump rope, swing high on the swings, and bounce her ball. One thing Lily did not like to do was run. "It's boring!" she'd groan whenever her mom suggested a jog in the park. "I'd rather stay home and read." One sunny afternoon, Lily was playing in her room. Her favorite pair of bright pink sneakers sat by the door just waiting to be worn. Suddenly, with a mischievous glint in their eyes, the sneakers hopped off the floor and skipped towards the window! Lily gasped. "My shoes! Stop!" she cried, but the sneakers were already out the window and were bouncing down the street. Lily raced after them, her heart pounding. She chased them down the sidewalk and around the corner until she was out of breath. "Come back!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the neighborhood. The sneakers, however, were having the time of their lives. They bounced past beautiful flower gardens, dodged around playful puppies, and they even slid down a hill. Lily, huffing and puffing, finally caught up to her runaway shoes. She scooped them up, feeling a strange tingling sensation in her legs. "You silly shoes! You can’t just run away! I don’t like to run and you made me chase you. You made me feel SO tired!" she said. Her mom, who had been watching from the window, chuckled. "Looks like you're having fun. Can I join you?” she asked. Lily, surprised by how much fun she was having running, decided to keep going and said “yes, let’s go”.
